VMS Groups of Companies were first formed in Singapore in early 2005 and have grown slowly but steadily on a firm footing to expand into three countries and providing range of services. All consultants engaged with VMS Group are experienced marine personnel who have served in senior most positions on ships and are especially trained in providing specific services. Most personnel have attended specialised courses and are accredited or approved under respective regimes. All consultants are bound by pledges of loyalty and integrity.

All consultants are young and energetic. Average age of consultants is 39 years. Field experiences of consultants vary from Vetting Specialist to FPSO Safety Officer and Fleet Trainer, with each one having acquired 17 to 25 years of valuable Sailing Experience on International Fleets. One of the Founder Members of this group has 19 years of sailing experience and more than 10 years of valuable experience in Risk Management Services serving matured clients. He has also worked as a Vetting Specialist in a ‘Fortune 50’ Major Oil Company in Singapore office and is an accredited Auditor of SIRE Inspectors under the inspection system governed by the consortium of Major Oil Companies.

We aspire to create a niche in Risk Management, Inspection and Auditing Industry. We are a team of qualified and accredited Auditors, Surveyors and Inspectors who work on behalf of large Oil, Chemical & Gas Companies as well as for Bulk / Container Transportation Companies and their insurers for assessing risk & exposure to our clients. Our consultants are accredited in OCIMF SIRE System, CDI-M & CDI-MPC inspection regimes, trained as ISM / ISO Lead Auditors and approved by Insurance Companies. With vast experience at sea in senior positions and being well versed with prevalent Marine Regulations and Industry Requirements, we can provide productive solutions. Our core business is focussed on Risk Assessment of the Marine Property including crafts, cargoes, berths and terminals.

Currently, consultants of VMS Group are based in Singapore, Malaysia and India. We have no bar on travel and cover assignments / projects for our clients on global basis. However, large part of our work is carried out in Asia-Pacific region, covering all coastal states within the boundaries defined by Arabian Gulf, Russia, Japan, Korea & Australia. Governance of all jobs is controlled through Singapore office.
